Home Sweet Home!!

All marked and ready to go!

Her little friend Peyton was there for support

All done!! Good Job Peyton!!!
On our way home!

We couldn't leaving without giving our Kidney Doctor a high five for saving our little girl!!

Monday was a big day for our little Peyton. She had her hemodialysis catheter and PICC line removed and she also had her EEG. Peyton was so patient through the whole test. She even fell asleep which is what the tech was hoping for. They like to see the activity of the brain during awake time, falling asleep, asleep, and waking up. Peyton did all of the above. After the test we spent the rest of the afternoon walking outside and through the sky bridge. It was so fun to be able to finally get her out of the room again. When we came back the results of the EEG were ready. We had good news and bad news. The bad news was they did see some slowing of the brain waves which was abnormal. They weren't to concerned about it and said weaning her off the seizure medication would be better than stopping it all together. The good news was we would be able to treat her from home which was great but a little scary for me. After asking a lot of questions and filling our prescriptions, we were on our way home. Peyton was so excited and was even rocking out in the car like she normally does. When we arrived home the first thing she wanted was to see her friend Tyce next door. It was great to see her back to her old playful self. She had quite a bit of energy but after about 30 minutes she was ready for bed. She slept very well all night. I plan on sleeping in her room for the rest of the week until she is more balanced on her feet in case she wakes up. Luckily she has a very comfy trundle bed!! We slept in until 9:45 thanks to my mother-in-law Billie waking up with Gwen this morning!!! All day Peyton was in such a wonderful mood. No whining, no yelling, just bliss. We played all day, laughed, ate, and enjoyed spending time with each other and Grandma Harp. Peyton is talking more and even remembers her please and thank yous. It is so wonderful to have my little girl almost back to herself, and it is so wonderful to be home!!
